New Clan - The Malkavians

With this release, and the start of the A Party To Remember season, we are introducing the first cards for Clan Malkavian. The first of these is Justicar Parr, featured in this Season Pass.

Many more Malkavian cards will be released throughout the season - read more about this on the Season announcement page.

Clearer Tutorial

We have made small adjustments to the tutorial, including the addition of a brand new card - Harry Tyler - that new players will unlock during play.

Harry Tyler will be gifted to all existing players soon - keep an eye on the News Feed.

We’ve also added tooltips to many elements of the core UI. These are designed to help new players get started, but may be useful for existing players as well.

Ranked Update

We’re updating the post-Rank 100 leaderboard and how ranks reset between seasons, with the goal of creating a fairer competitive environment.

Rank now caps at 100. Once you reach Rank 100, you will be placed on the leaderboard. Beyond this point, progression is tracked using Leaderboard Points, which are based on Matchmaking Rating (MMR).

At the start of each season:

• All players lose a portion of their Leaderboard Points to maintain competitive balance.

• Players will drop 30 ranks (rounded to the nearest 5), then regain bonus ranks based on their highest milestone. For example, reaching Rank 100 will reset you to Rank 73.

Card View Update

In the full-screen card view, you can now inspect any tokens spawned by cards. This was a highly requested feature from the community, and we’re pleased to bring it to the game.

This is especially useful for Molly Cybin, who spawns four unique Delusions. She will be released on April 23rd as part of Clan Malkavian.

New Card Art and Lore

As part of preparations for global launch, we’ve carried out a consistency and quality pass on all existing card lore and bio text.

This includes minor art updates, such as giving Yomi clothing more appropriate to her heritage. Another notable change is that Sister Lilith has been renamed to Sister Lilim to avoid confusion with the figure she worships as a Bahari.

We’ve also added lore to almost every character in the game. Happy reading! It’s now easier to list the cards that don’t yet have lore:

• Juniper Fey

• Branwen White

• The Rat Collector

• Herald of the Hunt

These cards will receive lore in a future update.

Upgrade Experience

With the addition of more lore, we’ve integrated it into the upgrade experience, making it more prominent throughout the sequence.

You can now also access lore directly after upgrading a card.

Bug Fixes

We’ve addressed a number of bugs in this update, including:

• Updated endgame logic - drawing your entire deck no longer causes you to lose the game

• If your opponent stakes after you’ve ended your turn, your turn will now be restored, allowing you to retreat or respond

• Lt. Chamkaur Gupta now correctly donates his Power

• Cards prevented from changing stats no longer trigger abilities that rely on stat changes

• Multiple lore continuity issues have been resolved

• Various VFX issues fixed
