Rise of the Duskborn

In 2012, when the Vampires in London were purged, Duskborn, whose blood was too weak to be picked up by many of the ECTU's detection devices, managed to evade destruction.

This gave them a rare opportunity to expand and try to establish some control within the city. To aid this, they formed the Alsatia Council. However, in 2013, the old council vanished without a trace.

Now the new council is grappling with threats on all sides, while still trying to unravel the fate of their predecessors. Most cards in the season are members of the new council, while others work with them.

  • Power: 0

  • Ability: On Reveal: Give +3 Power to the rightmost Mortal in hand.

Releasing: August 6th 2026 (Premium Pass)

Cormac Flynn

Cormac has 'inherited' the unenviable role of the most prominent Thin-Blood in London, making him an adversary of many Kindred and mortal hunters alike. He leads the new Alsatia Council, a collective of Thin-Bloods seeking to establish a domain in London. His particular style of Alchemy involves consuming all the necessary Ingredients to perform wild and powerful reactions within his own body.

Key Card Information:

  • Blood: X

  • Power: 2

  • Ability: X is equal to your current Blood. On Reveal:Use X(*) random Ingredient abilities. (The effect is increased by cost reductions)

Cormac does a lot of new things mechanically. Firstly, his Cost is X. This is always equal to the amount of Blood you have available, but it must be at least 1 to be played.

If you reduce his cost, it effectively counts as 'pre-paying' into the X value, increasing the strength of his final ability by the same amount. For example, if you have 2 cost reduction from Marquis Leroux and spend 6 Blood on Cormac, he will trigger 8 times. Cormac provides a lot of value in his own right, while also offering strong synergy with other Thin-Bloods.

Releasing: August 13th 2026

Natalya Volkova

Natalya is the begrudging owner of a hardware store in London, which she inherited from her sire. It also makes for an extremely useful cover, allowing her to buy in all kinds of ingredients used by other alchemists.

Key Card Information:

  • Series: 3

  • Blood: 2

  • Power: 3

  • Ability: When you reveal a Mortal: Add a random Ingredient to hand.

Natalya gives you good synergy for running multiple Mortals and making use of that aspect of the Thin-Bloods. She acts as an engine, generating a lot of Ingredients over the course of the game if she can survive.

Jax Cook

A highly skilled alchemist who taught chemistry in his mortal life, he makes good use of the few resources he and his fellow Duskborn have. He keeps his distance from the council for his own safety, but often offers them his support.

Key Card Information:

  • Series: 3

  • Blood: 2

  • Power: 2

  • Ability: When you trigger an Ingredient ability: Score 2 Points.

Jax gives you a meaningful scoring payoff for playing as many Ingredients as possible. Since his ability triggers off Ingredients being triggered, any cards that allow you to trigger them again, or trigger many Ingredients at once (such as Cormac), synergise well with this card.

Kelsey Griffin

While some Thin-Bloods purchase or scavenge alchemy supplies, Kelsey takes a more 'direct' approach, using speed and stealth in equal measure to steal anything she needs. When it's household products, it may be little more than a minor Masquerade breach, but when her ingredient of choice is vampire blood, her methods become a lot more dangerous.

Key Card Information:

  • Series: 5

  • Blood: 3

  • Power: 5

  • Ability: End of Round: If Knight, add 2 random Ingredients to hand.

Kelsey gives you a strong engine to generate a lot of Ingredients, without generating so many that you risk hitting the hand limit. While you'll need to defend her to keep reaping the benefits, she has decent Power, making her a good Knight.

More cards are releasing later in the Season, check back for more details on those soon.
