The curtain lifts, revealing the grandest performance of Penelope's career!

As the kindred of London continue to exploit their newfound freedom, some of them begin to enact the larger ambitions they have been harbouring. Penelope Dane, director in pursuit of perfection, has teamed up with Thaddeus in order to stage a grand performance of Der Ring des Nibelungen, Wagner's greatest operatic work.

The performance is audacious, though it hides a more nefarious plot. Thaddeus has designs to infiltrate mortal government and influence politics in his favour. The performance has many influential people in attendance, and should they be swayed by the show, Thaddeus is sure to take advantage of his newfound connections.

Unbeknownst to Penelope and Thaddeus, an Anarch spy within the arts council that is funding the performance has tipped off Zara Bradley. Incensed at being left out of this grand undertaking, but not at all bothered by the grander plans, Zara is staging an upset. She has gathered to her as many fighters as possible, and plans to storm the theatre, with the only aim being ruin!

Influence the Story

Penelope's Theatre sets it's largest stage, the lights switch on, and London holds its breath as the players once again determine the canon outcome. Have your say, will the performance be successful, or will Zara succeed in derailing it?

The outcome of the performance hangs in the balance. The spotlights are on centre stage, and whomever makes the boldest moves there are sure to sway many hearts and minds...

If Penelope, Thaddeus, their backers and the Toreador are successfully voted as winners by the players, they'll successfully pull off the performance without a hitch, and get into the good books of many of the attendees. This will kick-start their plan to infiltrate government, and ultimately a mortal politician will be ghouled, leading to a new card with the following ability:

On Reveal: Give all Seduced cards in your hand +1 Power.

If Zara receives your votes she will manage to topple Thaddeus' lead performance and leave the stage in ruins. So devastatingly inspiring is her performance that she'll manage to recruit a new performer to her troupe. Recruit? That implies a willing participant, which doesn't matter much to Zara. A new Brujah card will be released with the following ability:

After you reveal your next card: If it is a Knight, give it +4 Power.

Chronicles Scoring

Chronicles games earn votes for your chosen side. The players are in charge and decide on the outcome of the story.

For those new to Chronicles, the score you post will be based on the highest level you complete, but beware, whenever you lose a Chronicle game, you'll lose a life. Losing all 3 lives resets you to difficulty 1, and you can start a new run. There is not limit to the number of runs you can start.

Chronicle games earn you rewards based on your progress and the number of wins you manage to achieve. Each side in the Chronicle comes with their own unique cosmetic rewards, while both sides give the same amount of currency. Think carefully before you pick your side!

New Token Cards and Gameplay

The grand performance, and Zara's assault are represented in the two parts of the chronicle modifier. In this chronicle, no regular points are scored from holding the Prince or Knight spaces.

Instead you can score in the following ways: End of round: Gain points equal to your Prince's Power.

When you defeat a Prince: Gain points equal to its Power.

The enemy will have access to a few unique cards to oppose you, which scale in difficult as the event goes on.
