A Party To Remember - New Cards!

Seasonal cards

As part of the A Party to Remember Season we are releasing another six new Cards over the the next two weeks! These Cards will be be available through packs in the Shard Shop.

New Cards - Available 30th April

Gonzo Thompson

An investigative journalist embraced at the cusp of his big break, uncovering the supernatural world. He is a true master of the Cobweb (the mental connection all Malkavians share, whether they like it or not) and was paid a princely sum by Luciano to put out the Call to all Malkavians in the city.

Key Card Information:

• Blood: 5

• Power: 7

• Ability: When Discarded: Draw 2 cards.

When discarding cards, you can risk emptying your hand. Gonzo helps you to keep refuelling your hand to give you more cards to discard. If you're playing a more chaotic deck, like those that use Molly Cybin, this consistency will also be a great help. If you can find ways to return this card to hand and discard him again, it truly allows for some wild plays.

Luciano DiCamillo

A party-loving Toreador, his obsession is Malkavians and their unique minds. He and his mutually blood-bonded lover, Molly Cybin, are throwing the wildest Elysium the city has ever seen (in their own words).

• Power: 7

• Ability: When Discarded: Score 3 Points and return this to hand.

When playing a discard deck, you want a good mix of cards that discard and cards that reward discarding. Luciano critically gives Points, which gives you a good payoff for repeated discards. Luciano gives you a nice repeatable benefit for discarding. In the late game, you can also just play him out as he has decent Power.

Rat-Eater

A Nosferatu who uses his extensive knowledge of London's underground tunnels to transport vessels. Molly Cybin has made use of his services to keep the party stocked with some very specific mortals. He's not allowed anywhere near the actual party, but will still try to sneak his way in.

• Power: 3

• Ability: On Reveal: Discard your lowest cost card in hand to create a Rat in up to 2 empty spaces.

Allows you to convert cards in hand into better board coverage. As it discards the lowest cost, this is usually something you don't mind losing, which helps push early rush decks to be more aggressive to try to take control faster. Discard, as an archetype, has access to a few tools to control the board, but can occasionally struggle with running out of cards to play. Getting these tokens onto the board will help mitigate that.

Lucy Baptiste

Grand-childe of Justicar Parr, she was embraced in secret a decade before Antigen purged the city. Now she serves as one of the city's many Sheriffs, keeping a watchful eye on the power struggles of other Kindred. In her role as Sheriff, she's investigating the party, deeply curious about what the hosts are planning.

• Ability: When Discarded: Add 2 Forgotten Memories to hand.

  
  

Forgotten Memories (Token):

• Ability: When Created: Become an Illusion copy of a card in your discard pile, with -2 Blood cost.

When you're discarding so many cards, you'll need ways to get some of those cards back. Lucy Baptiste and her Forgotten Memories not only give you cheaper versions of cards back, but she gives copies, and each Forgotten Memory targets individually. So, for example, if you discard Gonzo Thompson with Lucy Baptiste, you could get lucky and get 2 extra copies of Gonzo Thompson in your hand, and if you discard those...

Salvo Calvo

A compulsive hoarder who keeps growing his collection ever higher - an equal mix of ancient, valuable treasures and random rubbish. This all builds up until he enters a frenzy state and destroys everything, purging every item from his haven. Many opportunistic Kindred look to catch him on these destructive sprees for personal gain. He could not resist the Call put out by Gonzo.

• Ability: On Reveal: Steal 1 Power from all odd cost cards in your hand, then Discard them.

"Salvo" Calvo gives you access to a high-volume discard option and rewards you for discarding more cards at once with his effect. You can use this effect to activate many different discard triggers at once. He presents some interesting deck-building choices to make sure you want to discard the odd-cost cards you run.

Rosaline Armitage

Dan Washington's childer, she helps run his media company and is always sure to put down any upcoming talent who would seek to surpass her. She's travelled to the party with Dan to capture some interesting photos of the event.

• Ability: On Reveal: Discard the rightmost card in your hand to gain +2 Power.

Rosaline gives you an easy-to-use, low-cost discard tool, which gives you quite fine control over what you're discarding to make sure you hit the right targets.
